Our Members enjoy playing privileges at other Troon-managed private clubs around the country, and the world.
We take enormous pride in presenting not one, but two exceptional courses for double the scoring opportunities and strategies. The sheer amount of pins also permits our signature relaxed approach to tee times. Outside of Sundays and holidays, we don’t rely on a starting time reservation system. Instead, Members simply show up—and our Golf Shops set them up on the spot.
Our golf staff is composed of PGA-certified professionals who take the time to get to know each Member. This personal touch creates a keen sense for pairing similarly-skilled players and personalities for optimized group engagement, events, and activities—creating a model for other departments along the way.

A top tier golf experience has been a Castlewood calling card since opening day, and our commitment to maintaining and enhancing this offering is ongoing and legendary in the East Bay.
The Valley Course
Presenting challenges by way of length, topography, and fast greens, this more walkable layout offers a combination of accessible fairways along with some shorter, more challenging par 4’s. It accommodates competitive long-ballers eager to go the distance to outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy scenic twists and turns.
The Hill Course
Castlewood’s original 18-hole layout caters to the more adventurous golfer. Characterized by undulating elevations, astonishing views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level, it rewards stamina and aggressive play without penalizing the less experienced player.
